Balanto – bookkeeping built for Swedish companies.
Clickwebb built Balanto from scratch — a complete, BFL-compliant bookkeeping system for Swedish limited companies with invoicing, payroll, VAT and SIE-4 export all in one system.
Swedish companies deserve a modern alternative
The market is dominated by Fortnox and Visma — expensive, complex and built for a different era. The brief: a bookkeeping system equally capable but far simpler to use, with no lock-in and fair pricing. BFL compliance, automatic postings and direct integration with the Swedish Tax Agency were non-negotiable requirements.
The entire product under one roof
Clickwebb owned the full chain: product strategy, UX design, frontend, backend, SEO strategy and deployment. Balanto is built in Next.js with TypeScript, optimised for conversion and search engines. No template, no WordPress — a fully custom product from scratch.
Core modules we built
Bookkeeping
BFL-compliant bookkeeping with Swedish BAS chart of accounts. Automatic posting suggestions and real-time validation against the Bookkeeping Act.

Balance sheet, income statement and K2 annual report generated automatically from the running bookkeeping.
Receipt handling
OCR reads the receipt automatically. You confirm — the system posts it.
